Great article from Katie Hims about the importance of BBC audio drama, now under threat. In addition Radio 4 are commissioning more serials in the few remaining slots so fewer opportunities and only for 'experienced writers'. How do you get experience if there's no space for you?
BBC radio drama is in grave danger. Without it we may lose the next generation of writing talent
Hundreds of hours of original plays have been cut from the corporation’s programming in recent years. If the trend continues, a valuable training ground for writers will be lost
