The problem with being a teacher, is that you never lose that Sunday night feeling of worrying that you haven’t done your homework. 😉

This is a useful lesson to anyone using ChatGPT or other AI for research. I see students submitting clearly AI generated texts, where they obviously haven’t even read through them. AI is a useful tool in education but it’s not a replacement for rigorous research and critical thinking.

It feels like we are edging ever close to global war. I sometimes ponder, what would humankind have achieved if we didn’t allow ourselves to be led by warmongers? If we didn’t send out young people out to their deaths? What potential has been wasted at the all-consuming altar of warfare?

ChatGPT can now create PowerPoint slides, rather than just content. This is going to be interesting within education. It can help teachers to plan, but there is little point in asking students to do presentations these days. Teachers need to keep adapting & evolving the way that they teach & assess.

There is an intrinsic flaw in this. If you think working 80+ hours a week for free under one of the world’s richest men, you’re hardly demonstrating a high IQ. 😂

I’m sure that if X goes bankrupt, Musk won’t even care. He’s got what he wanted out of it now that Trump is back in. (🤢). But it’s nice to be in a social space that is not forcing hatred and bigotry in my face all the time.

I’m not feeling too good today. The downside to working with children is the germ season.

It’s pretty cold outside, so it looks like a good day to snuggle down with the dogs and watch some TV or films.

If I feel better later I might take advantage of the time and do some training courses.
