this shit right here is wrecker shit, as much as wrecker shit as any online leftist has done, if not more so. no wonder so many people are repulsed by anyone (rightly) saying 'vote blue no matter who', the most powerful elected Dem in the nation won't do it! it undermines the whole coalition! jfc

you’re still in bed, zohran has already filmed five videos, helped a grandma carry her groceries across a street, went to a daybreaker rave and a pilates class, and ate a high protein breakfast

It's been a real joy to be involved in this project -- join us for some training and community building for climate justice.
‼️Join Three Waters and @copalmn.bsky.social for a weekend training and organizing blitz in Minneapolis Nov 7-9 as part of a national training tour fighting fossil fuel billionaires! If you’ve been looking to plug into local climate or environmental justice work, this training is for you!

🎉Come celebrate Jason’s birthday with us & help fuel the last push of the campaign—he’s getting out the vote in a historically low turnout ward, which will have a huge impact on the mayoral race.

ALSO, Arbeiter is a dropoff site for @supplydepotmpls.bsky.social, so bring something warm to donate!

It’s Fateh vs. Frey right now. Progress vs. the same old lies.

There is room for all of us to rank candidates we support in November, but today, we need to unite to defeat Frey.

I hope all Davis & Hampton delegates vote to endorse Fateh and remind Frey that Mpls is united.

people come up with all kinds of fanciful math to justify billionaires' wealth but imo present political moment demonstrates conclusively that we need to tax billionaires at whatever rate will keep them focused on their own fucking business rather than our Medicaid and pediatric cancer research

the reaction to Mamdani's campaign is clear proof that centrism is a reactionary ideology, and has nothing to do with a pragmatic desire to win.
A party that actually wanted to mobilize young and disillusioned voters would be studying Zohran Mamdani’s campaign like the Bible

Cops incapable of registering anything cop-coded as a problem.
The New Hope cop successfully protected the State Senator by showing up but failed to have the presence of mind to think that the dude who was sitting in what looked like a cop car outside her house, who stared straight ahead and did not respond to her when she spoke to him, might be the suspect.

I have no sympathy for Ann Kim, but sucks to hear about Young Joni closing for the workers and diners alike. Also structurally, seems like restaurants are very hard to run profitably, even when successful, and the deciding factor is often "did the landlord think of a bigger number in the past year"

So many of these events were crazy, but my brain is broken by this part. A cop shows up, sees another cop there, pulls up next to him, he refuses to even look at her, and she doesn't even clock it as suspicious. Truly insane.
holy shit -- acting US attorney Thompson details that Boelter went to the homes of two other elected officials after shooting Hoffman but before going to Hortman's house. One cop encountered him at the third house but thought he was a police officer.

the company line from the Mayor and his dopey police sychophant surrogates, is that misinformation from activists escalated the trauma and panic of yesterday. No. Military vehicles, long guns, covered masked faces and jungle fatigues looking like a junta escalated panic and fear

Another demonstration of the fact that there is no point in bending to Trump, not just morally, but strategically. Columbia gave in & he just hits them harder... MAGA's goal is to destroy the universities (& newspapers & law firms etc etc etc) and the only logical approach is to unite and fight back
The Trump administration escalated its attack on Columbia University on Wednesday by taking a warning shot against its accreditation, a key credential that U.S. universities need to receive federal student aid.

During the Line 3 pipeline review process in MN, our state agencies seemed to have this idea that "someone else" would consider the climate impacts -- that the responsibility couldn't be on THEM. Surprise: there is no magical climate superhero coming to save us! It's on us all.

This is the righteous fury that is called for when Republicans sentence whole communities to die and dare to call it fiscal responsibility.
Minnesota State Sen. Alice Mann (DFL-Edina) calls out the slashing of MinnesotaCare in the state budget:

"There is no fiscal responsibility when you do this. When we take away people's health care, they end up in the emergency department. It costs more money for everyone in the community."

Trump and his lackeys are openly defying multiple court orders. When do the judges start issuing warrants?
so the members of congress just stopped going to el salvador and not a single person who was illegally sent there has been returned and that’s just how it is now?

Trump 2.0 is a test. A test of our resolve to uphold our values as a nation, as a state, and as a city. This administration pushes up against our values everyday as a challenge to our values. Today, our state leaders failed that test.
I’m extremely disappointed that Gov. Tim Walz, Senate Majority Leader Erin Murphy, and DFL House Leader Hortman abandoned our communities. They made a deal with the GOP to strip away healthcare from undocumented residents. 1/

Who is the target audience for this "bipartisan" bullshit? Republicans have no interest in governing. It's not noble to tout that you can "work together" with a party led by a rapist conman and full o techno-fascists, Christian nationalists and Nazis.
Amid chaos in Washington, Minnesota is proving that Democrats and Republicans can still work together to get things done.

We just reached a bipartisan budget deal that protects investments we’ve made to improve lives and puts us in a strong financial position for years to come.
