Oxfordshire County Council has clarified that the Ghostbusters hearse would not be exempt from the city’s Congestion Charge. A spokesperson told us “It’s not as simple as buying a hearse. In order to qualify for a permit, you must also be a funeral care business.”

The worst you can accuse Panorama of doing is making a misleading edit – and I’d dispute that! – to make *a point that was true*.

The programme aired without anyone seeing any issues with the edit. It was on iPlayer for a year without complaints. Donald Trump *did* incite Jan 6th.
Tory culture spox demanding the BBC "grovel" to Trump is baffling. Who is this supposed to chime with?

Just a bizarre line that no one who doesn't use X would ever think.

That Frank Skinner story in Popbitch today is odd. Comedians in Manchester make Shipman jokes. It's local humour.

Wait, she hasn't looked at her phone and read the big story on the main page of the only news source that backs her party? There is literally nothing else to do at Sky News while you wait, unless she really takes her time on Wordle
Labour frontbench doesn't know what it thinks!

He won the Mayoralty so congratulations to him for winning the trust of the voters. As we know, power brings responsibility and so I wish him well in taking on that public service and leadership challenge.

Why do young liberals love Zohran Mamdani? We talked to 3 elderly Staten Island conservatives who can’t correctly say his name.

FA: Just stick both the north east clubs on at 3pm. Their fans famously hate football and pubs. Everyone else can be on telly tomorrow at once

The Today program was just a bit odd this morning wasn't it? Whole thing given over to Maccabi Tel Aviv's travelling Ultras save for a bit about Taylor Swift mentioning a painting and Justin Webb struggling to understand what a Community Impact Assessment is

Big issue with the Labour/McSweeney/strategy debate is the mistake that Starmer won a landslide because of saying 'toolmaker' a lot and Reeves fiscal rules, rather than despite saying 'toolmaker' and banging on about fiscal rules. There was no political genius, people just hated the Tories

It is possible to cherish the BBC as an institution while also saying that BBC News is failing very badly, day after day, in its duty to inform and that it always fails in a right-wing direction. It desperately needs to recover its integrity

Today program this morning lambasted Ed Davey for doing stunts for media attention. An hour or so later the news cycle is focussed on Reform's latest diatribe and not a mention of the Lib Dem conference
