So many important moral questions being worked out practically at these AI companies as they create more and more powerful models, which are increasingly thought to warrant their own moral consideration (see Sec. 5 of the "System Card" referenced in the article, concerning model welfare) #AISafety
But maybe what we really want is models to consider the long term consequences *on others, above and beyond your own interests*. A good thing for humans to consider too (and maybe to stay in the present moment when possible!).

This was an awesome discussion! Highlights:
- #UPL was probably never about preventing consumer harm, and definitely is causing more harm than good today
- Many other countries are taking a very different approach to #UPL and not focused on info vs advice
- We need re-regulation not de-regulation
