Uneven climate risks across communities especially affect New Orleans.
"In New Orleans, for example, about 95% of Asian homeowners, 92% of Black homeowners and 86% of Hispanic homeowners are vulnerable to flooding, compared to 76% of white homeowners."
Climate change disproportionately affects marginalized communities, EPA report finds
"This report punctuates the urgency of equitable action on climate change," the EPA said.

Jimmy Harris delivers better than anyone in Lege, but does it quietly.

When I first started, we were both aides to powerful pols who were sometimes at odds. But Jimmy was always awesome to work with. Unpretentious and smart. Great @rjamesfinn.bsky.social piece.

For those of you scoring latest Entergy power outage for New Orleans at home, a clue:
EIA.gov showing both Louisiana nuclear plants DOWN as of today shorting us 2GW(!!) of generation.

MISO runs the grid. Entergy/Cleco run power plants. If the plants don't make juice, MISO can't send it.
