I am curious what this will do to EE salaries. CS pulled people with EE degrees into software, a lot from the early computer days are retiring, and CS vs EE college graduation rates are about 3X.

This is such a weird move. There are so little downsides to open source hardware. You can’t copy-write the design and can’t hide the hardware. It has to be very complex before it is a challenge to reverse engineer. Scale protects hardware more than design source.

I have been using 43” 4k tv as my main monitor for a few years. Now that I go into an office again I want to ask to trade in dual monitors for a tv and just use my laptop screen for second monitor. Not sure how that conversation is going to go and how people would react to that in a cube

What is your preferred standard bench test equipment now a days? I am working on submitting a purchase req for my new job and feeling like an old man mad that the MD3000 series is discontinued and everything seems double from 5+ years ago.
