Pretty decent salaries - and a generous assumption of a 5% pay rise - making this not quite the killer example

The thing that’s so incoherent about this is that yes, of course the 7/7 bombers were British. They were British terrorists. Being a massive arsehole doesn’t stop you being British, which is good news for Matt Goodwin otherwise he might find himself stateless.
Goodwin says "it takes more than a piece of paper" or birthplace to make somebody British.

This is not often applied to Fred West/Ian Huntley, Kim Philpy, etc

So how it is applied to British-born people from the majority + minority groups who commit crimes + who don't is rarely/never made clear

Why post that question under a photo that shows it wasn’t? Time to put the spotlight on this flaw in the system. All this money on cameras and can’t get a basic decision right. Pathetic
Casemiro's header has given Manchester United the lead against Nottingham Forest, but Sean Dyche's side were not happy with the decision to award a corner.

Nicolo Savona attempted to keep the ball in play but to no avail, according to the officials.

Was the whole of the ball over the line?

VAR is absolute garbage for stuff like this. Why can’t a quick line call be made? We’ve got to defend better though haven’t we? #nffc

One of my favourite goals to see live 🫡 #nffc
22 years ago today Andy Reid travelled the length of Upton Park, ran out puff, so shitpingered one into the top corner instead.

Have it.

"Not all mistakes have to be fatal. Postecoglou made this one into a disaster by never at any stage seeming to understand the assignment."

A fair summary.

Silva is a good manager but that release clause creeps up with every story! Also seeing it reported that he’s unsure about moving mid season 🤔 #nffc

Dyche is a better manager than his image suggests. We cannot afford to let our league status slip after the huge investment we’ve made. It might be a safety first appointment but we’re complacent if we think safety first is a bad thing now #nffc

It was a circus. It was all about him. And it wasn’t healthy for us or him. Time to move on from a big mistake #nffc

Well. There we go then. Time to move on, roll our sleeves up and start the season properly. Sod what the outside voices say, it wasn’t working and wasn’t going to any time soon #nffc

Dear pundits, are we allowed to worry yet? Do let us know when we’re ok to feel concerned. 10 without a win, 15? #nffc

This is an exact encapsulation of why I moved to Bluesky.

No amount of handwringing in the Atlantic about how I owe some eternal Promethean suffering to the discourse is going to make me stay on a site I hate, that stopped doing anything for me professionally years ago.

I do hope the pundits let us know when we’re allowed to be concerned at throwing away our position. The ‘stay in your lane’ vibe has been there right from the start #nffc

If nothing else, Ange has never really given off the vibe of a man who wants this job has he? Downbeat, gruff, defensive. Maybe all sides would be happier to admit an error and move on? #nffc

Foundations from the first half but couldn’t build on them. Desperately need a formula for clean sheets to stem the bleeding. Ange tried a Nuno tribute act but couldn’t pull it off? #nffc

We always get a dodgy VAR there. What’s the point? Yates got booked for less. Williams got booked for less. Mardying at the ref has worked for them. Can’t afford to let it get to us #nffc

Credit where it’s due, a better shape and plan so far. Ndoye bright and MGW the best threat as an inside forward. Like that one of the centre halves has licence to attack the ball to try to win it. Not sure Newcastle will be as flat for the full 90 but something to build on #nffc
