This new book by Deandra Davis is SO GOOD and relevant. This one throws the curve ball of racism hitting an autistic Black teen and his family, along with brotherhood and ableism. I guarantee it will be challenged somewhere at some point.

Back to the #bannedbooks. This was one of my favorites in elementary school. Apparently any book that teaches about religions other than Christianity is unacceptable, even though this book is about kids embracing history and learning.

Because it is always about the banned books AND Forever just made it to Netflix as an updated series, one must read this one for the umpteenth time.

Oh, Ralph! 😝

Thank you, Judy Blume, for this and all your other titles and for shaping my younger years. OK, and even now, well into my adulthood.

The first of my favorite book duo this year: DESPERATELY SEEKING MR. DARCY by Becky Monson.

Becky's books just get better and better as time goes on. And this retelling of the classic P&P will satisfy any fan!

Got it as an ARC and finally finished the saga. You can also now read this beautiful historical romance by Tess Thompson. I recommend the whole series!

Hot off the presses just a few weeks ago, and the third installment of the series. Check your white privilege in this one! Eye-opening, because we have all made mistakes and need to keep learning from them.

The second book in the series isn't as challenged as its predecessor, but is just as important to read. It can stand on its own, as it is Quan's story. But you will better appreciate it if you also read Dear Martin first.

Back to the banned books this weekend. It is easy to see why Nic Stone catches so much heat over this one. No one wants to acknowledge the truth. First in a trilogy. Powerful.

35 years since I first read it and still impossible to put down. So many rereads.

Anything after Garden of Shadows doesn't count, because she wasn't the real author of those.

Random: I used to babysit for someone who had interviewed VC Andrews once. Made reading her books even more intriguing.

It is a good week to revisit Serenity's Plain Secrets - a series by Karen Ann Hopkins that blends police procedural and Amish genres. I read the first 2 books when they were released over 10 years ago. Now there are 19! 😳😄

Keep reading and sharing the banned books, because they have important stories to tell.

I'm calling for an investigation into whether President Trump manipulated the market to benefit his Wall Street donors—all while working people and small businesses paid the price.

Did Trump help insiders cash in on his tariff flip-flopping? It sure looks like corruption.

Continuing my support of authors whose work is banned/challenged. If this one hasn't yet been, it will be. But some kids really need this story and deserve to have it available.

Happiness is a new Mike Gayle read! Bonus is when it is an Amazon Free Read bonus for the month. Just what I needed this week.

I *am* Amy Anne.

This book is great.

Most of the books being removed are ones I read at that age. People need to get a life. 🙄

Don't talk to me today. I have been waiting for uninterrupted quiet time to finally read the latest Josie Quinn that has now been out for almost two weeks, which is two weeks too late for me to have started it!

We were still having snow and freezing rain where I live. I stay warm and fuzzy during this kind of weather with second chance Christmas romance, like CHRISTMAS PROMISES by Tess Thompson. This dual-author Sugarville Grove series is worth reading in order! buff.ly/38uRWq4

JULIAN IS A MERMAID by Jessica Love is a beautiful and sweet story that reminds us to embrace imagination and creativity and to be true to who we really are. It's also a message for adults to allow children to be true to themselves as well.
