Long's character monologuing about how he's now aware of the pain he's caused and how he wants to make things right and become a better person then ~2 minutes later throwing Campbells character off a building to try and save himself was the hardest i've laughed at a movie in a while

really liked this ! balances being very suspenseful and VERY funny incredibly well. Justin Long is so good in this, his character is so detestable which i kind of realised is something i love in a character. anyway, great movie !!

I've said it before but I wish there were more "family horror movies" so kids could be introduced to the genre through something other than like, five nights at freddys

good movie ! the way it moves from sweet, to funny, to "scary" is really impressive, especially since it's all so well done. I feel like this is very "movie you use to introduce horror to your kids" which i really appreciate. great effects, great cast, great movie 👍

I've said it before but I wish there were more "family horror movies" so kids could be introduced to the genre through something other than like, five nights at freddys
i know animal well IS popular but i do think it's a shame that balatro kind of took the spot of "indie game superstar" for 2024 instead of this when PERSONALLY i think animal well is much better (even if it is like comparing apples to oranges)

i know animal well IS popular but i do think it's a shame that balatro kind of took the spot of "indie game superstar" for 2024 instead of this when PERSONALLY i think animal well is much better (even if it is like comparing apples to oranges)
a trend i seem to unintentionally do is skip most of a horror franchises good movies and go straight to when they're schlocky and stupid (having only seen Saw 4 and the 9th friday the 13th movie). I want to watch Jason x so bad man that shit looks dumb as fuck

movies are so awesome, man. this movie sucks but also Jason three-stooges-head-bumps two cops and instantly kills them. i bet ending the movie with Freddy Krugers glove went hard as fuck in 1993 (it still does now tbf)

silent hill games love to have insanely good enemy design just for you to fight largely the same 2 enemies for ~14 hours

first AAA game bought at (mostly) full price since silent hill 2 remake lol. This was pretty great! great visuals, great setting, incredibly good story and soundtrack but has problems in some iffy pacing and a CRAZY lack of enemy variety.

i'm not going to pretend that me learning japanese isn't a little influenced by anime but it does suck how sooooo many japanese learning resources for english speakers are exclusively themed around anime. you know real people live there, right? it's not just all cartoons

i have come to learn it is wicked easy to learn to find resources for japanese and have been learning it the past week and it's been really fun !
want to keep learning russian and go back to learning japanese but i feel like it's impossible to find any decent learning materials for free and everything paid is super expensive

another movie that is sososo good and sososo cool, the main trio in this are just so great to watch, along with Bracco. the 150 minutes flew by, well shot, well edited, amazing, another one where you get why it's an all timer.

while watching this i realised how much of an "old-hollywood" look george clooney has and i feel like we don't see that in many films now and i think that's a shame, something something societies obsession with looking young and other beauty standards stuff

this is such a dad movie and it absolutely rocks. very stylish, a great ensemble, just sosososo cool. i think the biggest problem for me is, as great as it is to see Clooney and Roberts, i just couldn't buy the romance between them. still, really great movie

while watching this i realised how much of an "old-hollywood" look george clooney has and i feel like we don't see that in many films now and i think that's a shame, something something societies obsession with looking young and other beauty standards stuff

i still think about how much near unanimous praise this movie got (minus the ai shit) and how much of a letdown it was for me, i feel like it did a bad job at pretty much everything which is wild when it's so clearly aping something that came out ~30 years prior

I feel kind of crazy because I had heard about how amazing this movie was but I kinda didn't like it. it felt like they were desperately trying to emulate Ghostwatch but failed at everything that made it so effective. a shame, i was looking forward to this one
