Introducing the first 6 rooms in the game. You can already see where we are aiming, but at this moment, I'm not sure if it should be possible to build multiple rooms at once in one house.

It was close, but more people voted for pixel art rather than comic style. So I updated my tile-sets and added some options before recreating the world, and made everything more snazzy.

I wanted to change the colour scheme of my #godot game's UI, but there's a ton of separate image files, so I built an app (in godot) to do it in batches. It extracts the palette from a folder of images and lets you remap each colour. You can also import a palette from lospec.com

So, that was quite a journey! It's still not perfect, but you can now drag, scroll and zoom into the scene. The problem was the water shader and its positioning.

Needed to rearrange the scenes and nodes to implement camera movement. I used this situation to rework the environment. So we now have a moon, some snazzy new clouds, a day-night cycle and a #FunnyBug

Yeah - finally, you can see the cost of a card and also determine whether it can be activated. Next will be mounting the weapons in the right place and activating them after playing the related card.

Not what I had intended for the weekend, but I take it 😉. You can now race your custom ship, and the canyon track has also undergone a slight update to fit the size – and so I adjusted the colours, too 😃

So – there was some kerfuffle I needed to take care of, but today I managed to return to the game… and it was pretty productive. Started to implement the hangar and some configurations for the ship.

PHEW PHEW PHEW – Worked on burning cards and using them to activate the weapon. I think it's quite a solid state at this time. Next will be the interplay of all elements, and some adjustments to the shaders.

There is a slight stutter in the key controls, so the card selection is not as smooth as I would like it to be. However, I'm satisfied with the progress, especially after I started a major refactoring after watching a new course.

After a little break, we could fix some minor bugs and make a little, big step in the right direction. Energy-Gems in different colors. In the end, they can be used to activate cards for 'some actions' (You know, guns and lasers and so on 😄)
