Random morning thought: My laptops with touch screens always have the dirtiest screens. Not because I'm touching them all the time, but because I only remember that my screen is dirty when it's on - but when it's on I don't want to wipe it and mess up my workspace.

So I just started piano lessons last week and as I was practicing tonight, I came to a realization.
I'd done things *like* this a lot as a child. Things that required a weekly commitment and some level of energy investment even outside of that. But I was never doing them for myself. (1/3)

Good morning dear friends. I had my surgery last night and am now recovering in my hospital room. I am in a bit of pain but other than that am feeling great. I want to thank everyone for following me in my journey. I know it's not over, but the worst is likely behind me.

Hey y'all. Just a heads up that I'm in the hospital for colon cancer. It sounds like it might have been caught early enough that it can be relatively easily removed and it's in such a place that my life shouldn't be overly affected after recovery.

I am pleased to announce that all of your thoughts, feelings, prayers and positive vibes were successful. The cancer has indeed not yet spread and the surgery should be able to remove the cancer. I'm scheduled for surgery tomorrow but of course due to triaging, that is only tentative. 1/2
