Ok I’ll see your Folger’s siblings commercial and raise you these guys. My headcanon was the son brought his boyfriend home for holiday family dinner. In a time of little representation we invented our own. Nothing contradicts it, so… also really thought this was a ‘90s ad but apparently 2003.

Roger Rabbit was released in 1988 and took place in 1947, 41 years earlier. If a Roger Rabbit movie was released today and followed a similar historical pattern it would take place in the ‘80s.

A GameStop I went to yesterday had 4 out of the 5 Aerialbots which was kinda cool to see. They literally each had a different price tho, including the 3 deluxes 🤣 They also had SS86 Scavenger at yet another deluxe price, $24.99. Still not bad for a GameStop which I haven’t been in 1 in about a year?

Seeing the Bill Watterson originals full of pencil lines of stuff that didn’t work, scuffs the eraser didn’t pick up, white out galore and more was something I needed to see to remind myself that nothing is perfect the first go and tweaks need to be made and you’re allowed to try again.

Summer of 2003 I got to paint 2 Alternator Sideswipe prototypes. I was working at a model shop that did work for Hasbro. I had to finish painting and reassemble 2 models, one in robot mode, one in vehicle. Tasks foreshadowing what I would do directly for Hasbro a few years later.
