It's worrisome to catalog the military dangers in the world and compare that to the legion of abject cowards, fools and buffoons who have been elected to office. I wonder if we have ever been in as much danger as now.

2025. New beginnings if one has a mind to reach for that. New beginnings are not bad things but there is, of course, no special reason to wait until January 1st.

I’m trying a new reading/book tracker and have discovered that my desire to keep a history of what I’ve read is being somewhat overwhelmed by the feeling that I am in some sort of competition that I must “win.”
