To the end, to the end, they remain.

Absolutely correct
American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

Anyway a great way to radicalize people is for them to realize that you just abandoned their chance at being able to access and afford health care because you didn’t like waiting in line at the airport.

basically every 2024 truism is dead. Trump did not build a lasting multiracial coalition or turn young men into committed Republicans. You don’t need to cave on trans rights to win. The pundits have nothing left to tell you.

Mississippi Masala is happening.
something is happening
Democrats have flipped 2 seats in the Mississippi senate, and in so doing they've broken the GOP's supermajority in the chamber.

Democrats just ran the table, winning the marquee races -- NJ and VA sweeps, NYC mayor, CA prop, PA Supreme Court -- and lower-profile races in red and purple states across the nation.

If the media you're reading or watching paints this as anything but a massive win, stop reading or watching them.

Two new polls out today for NYC mayor (including a Fox News poll) and both polls show Mamdani up 16 points. He is ahead on every major issue including crime. And in two way race with just Cuomo he beats him soundly. Let's do this NYC voters.

I hate the clocks going backwards and forwards. When I was young, we didn’t even have clocks. If we got hungry, we ate each other. We were poor, but we were happy. Good times. Not that we had time. It hadn’t been invented. We had to make our own time out of string and cholera.

At this point, if you're interviewing a Republican about the president's latest transgression and you *don't* have the video or post or whatever cued up and ready to show them when they pretend they haven't seen it yet -- I'm just going to assume you're in on the con yourself.

Their project depends on making us all feel alone, isolated and powerless. Taking part in a protest destroys all of those feelings in an instant. Go.
Head to a protest today. I can almost promise you will feel less hopeless. That's exactly what they don't want. There are more of us than there are of them.

Who has two thumbs and is an academic machine? This guy!

Wrote 5 rec letters, read a thesis, had two meetings, went for a walk with a lovely former undergrad, and started reading a long-sought archival source. Easily the most productive day in yonks.
