Mask requirements are being reinstated. Long COVID studies and hearings are being arranged. Messages about clean air are being disseminated. All of this is a result of amazing grassroots advocates, who have persistently pushed governments to do better for years. Advocacy works!

That's why in engineering we talk about release cycles. Given a completely free hand, an engineer would always say "hang on, I can just add this cool extra feature!". Someone has to to grab him/her by the neck and explain "NO! That's going in the next release!"
