Fully agree that anyone who upgrades to a new gpu bc of hair rendering is a consumerist idiot, but acting like improvements in performance necessarily mean increased power consumption or that tech demos were ever not frivolous and superficial is... silly

what people seem to believe is that there is a large number of criminal, layabout immigrants who can be easily found and deported. they support doing so snd are dismayed by the deportation of otherwise law abiding people. the problem is that the criminal group is imaginary!

The honest reason I don't have microtransactions/season pass/ads/100 DLCs/etc in Balatro isn't just about the ethics of those practices but because when I play other games that have those things it makes me want to put my computer in the dishwasher and set it to pots & pans
