George Clooney is making his Broadway debut with a stage version of his 2005 movie “Good Night, and Good Luck.” He’s ready, but also terrified. In an interview with The New York Times, he discussed the play, his family, President Trump's election and more.

Chess of the Wind (شطرنج باد) was banned in Iran in 1979 by the then-new regime and presumed lost, only to be found years later by the director's children in a junk shop. It has been painstakingly restored and was shown at the BFI London Film Festival in 2020

The hidden world of videocassettes in Iran: the unsung heroes who smuggled us movies shaped my love for cinema. They didn’t just bring films, they built my taste for cinema and glimpses of forbidden cultures.

Using an AI as a computer. The right mindset.
The future of AI is models that generate graphical interfaces. Instead of the linear, low-bandwidth metaphor of conversation, models will represent themselves to us as computers: rich visuals, direct manipulation, and instant feedback.

I have been felt to devalue any honorable behavior that comes from obligation, convention, or expectation because it didn’t come from "me". Unfortunately, this stubbornness caused me to miss out on many valuable opportunities.

Uncertainty often feels worse than bad news. De Berker et al. (2016) found that people expecting a small chance of an electric shock were more stressed than those certain they'd get one.
