This past week I focused on several fixes. One is a new blue flash overlay to indicate when an enemy is vulnerable to a front stab. I’ve also added a new VFX that triggers when an enemy is defeated.

This clip is a bit longer than usual, but I’ve managed to get a lot done these past two weeks. Added an area hit after takedown for risk-reward combat + new impact VFX to make it more satisfying.

I’m still grinding through bug fixes for the demo build for Steam Next Fest.

I finally replaced the Main Menu with a new UI and in-game sequence, which is also useful for tweaking the graphics settings.

This week I finished building Stage 6, the final level of Citizen Pain. It’s a close-quarters indoor environment, which allowed me to focus on tighter combat flow and intense enemy encounters.

This week I implemented enemy blocking. When they're in a blocking state, they don’t take damage , and right after blocking, they quickly counterattack the player.

I'm currently playing Pikmin 4 after really enjoying the demo. I really like the mechanic where you rescue survivors and, in return, they offer upgrades at the hub. If I can, I’d like to implement something similar in Citizen Pain.
