Despite the right wing media saying people on PIP can get Mercedes Benz cars, the fact is, people on PIP are not given a Mercedes. They can use their enhanced mobility component to lease a standard car via the Motability Scheme, but must pay a large advance fee out-of-pocket to lease a premium car.
