I made it home!
It was the right decision to travel early. I would just have boarded my original train as of now. And I would not have made my connection for the last leg of the journey.

Decided not to stay in Lübeck and am now on my way to Hamburg. I'm tired and don't feel like walking around for five hours.
If I still feel okay when I get to Lübeck I might stay there for a few hours and would take the train I was intended to take today.
Paid an extra 59€ and just boarded the first train to get home. I'm feeling a bit better but I really don't know how long that will last.

I would have to wait 4.5 hours for my train to leave. But I feel so shit I am considering using another option. I would have to pay again and have to switch trains four five times. But I would be home 4 hours early.

Had a nap at the hotel. Now I will check out the Schnitzel Restaurant across from it and then have a quiet evening at the bar in the hotel with either a tea or a mocktail.

No Binturong for me. But the zoo was still amazing and I will come back in spring next year.

Visited the Binturong habitat twice. Only saw a glimpse of him in a tree behind glass that was reflecting the scenery around me.
The second time he was in his little house where you can't see him at all.

The train I was supposed to take now has 20 minute delays. I would not have been able to make the connection.
Now having to wait for almost an hour at the station is totally worth it.

Made it to my train. And am very glad I chose to take this early one. The other one already has 5 minute delays.

I am finally off on my little getaway tomorrow. IF I manage to get a train from my hometown to the next bigger one.
With the train bridge still damaged it's a nightmare to travel. And it means getting up at 5am to catch a train at 7.20am.
