For 26 but especially 2028 it's time for Democrats to make clear that the current Supreme Court will have to be reformed (expanded in number, reformed in structure) to allow popular govt to continue in the United States. Not so much a litmus test as precondition for any other promise to be credible.

average Dem strategist: we must focus on bipartisan policies that undercut Republican attacks

average Dem voter: having studied the denazification of Germany, we must raze the RNC and leave JD Vance clutching a single wool blanket in a cell after we strip him of everything

If the recommendation to Democrats was to speak plainly, casually, like a normal person having a real conversation rather than like a politician stumbling through jargon, they’d be gushing about Mamdani and telling Dems to be more like him.

But they’re not, because they really mean something else.
you’ll notice that Third Way isn’t concerned about management speak as much as they want Dems to use *their* management speak.

I'd just like to point out how weird it is that places with hundreds or even thousands of reporters — the NYT, WaPo, CBS, NBC, AP, etc. — are all getting pummeled on every major story by the dozen computerboys at Wired. To fumble the bag this consistently is, at some point, cowardice and a choice.

NEW: Metadata from the “raw” Epstein prison video shows approximately 2 minutes and 53 seconds were removed from one of two stitched-together clips. The cut starts right at the “missing minute.”

I think people reeeeealllly overestimate the role of trade and industrial policy in US dominance of heavy industry in the 1950s and really underestimate the importance of having dropped high explosives on every facility in Japan or Germany capable of manufacturing a ball bearing

Harris’s gouging proposal looks mild compared with the price-control hysteria. But some are writing as if gouging never happens. Has everyone forgotten about the California electricity crisis of 2001, in which power operators deliberately cut production to raise prices?

With all respect to Joe Russo, the argument that kids have short attention spans these days falls apart the minute you check out how many hours they’ve put into Minecraft or how long they watch Twitch streams for. The trend on TikTok & YouTube is towards longer videos. Sometimes hours on the latter!
