Normal total beef imports into Aust can range between 3000 to 6000 tonnes per FY so the US access is a bit of a drop in a small ocean when you think how much Aust exports - which is around 1.4 million tonnes per annum. As long as the biosecurity concerns are met we should encourage free trade #agsky

Sounds like big news with the regulations around US beef access to Australia softened. But we've already been taking US beef in so far in FY2024/25 at near record levels... 270 tonnes versus the peak in 1994/95 of 290 tonnes. #agsky #econsky
