this is not an april fools joke, i genuinely believe that smoking should be banned within 100 meters of The Building that houses a train/tram station, including any bike parking associated with it. infuriating to constantly try and fail to avoid cigarette smoke.

SUV driver yesterday almost ran over a teen girl taking his right turn while (for some unknown reason) staring at me (on my bike waiting to cross the other direction) with a hard 'shooting daggers' stare.

Anyone have suggestions for good cargo bikes for carrying a medium dog (50-60lbs) and/or a kid/cargo? (probably will carry the dog more often than the kid). Can be e- or analog.

Waymo dooring sent a cyclist to hospital in SF, per Waymo's redacted NHTSA crash report. Note there were 2 Waymo robots involved, one stopped on each side of the bikelane. One doored the cyclist into the other robot.

So rarely does advertising match the truth. Not so with French late 19th century bike advertisements. They purely captured freedom in the way car advertising makes you want to believe today. These type of ads in 1880 were innovative + radical—imagine if we renewed that spirit in 2025.

Today for several hours ahead of #MISOTS25 I-96 was shut down between Lansing and Detroit because someone was killed in a crash. We've accepted this as normal.
Driving cannot continue to be the only reliable way to travel here. Sustainable transit funding must be a priority.
