I am a PhD candidate in the Evolutionary Biology program at the University of Chicago. I study palm flower weevil systematics in the de Medeiros lab at the Field Museum. I am a fan of data organization, collections-based research, and open access science. I love all things beetles and Beatles :)

I absolutely love the fact they've Pokemon-ised the museum staff, for the upcoming Pokémon partnership with the Field Museum. Museums, take note.

Dr. Jane made an indelible mark on our understanding of chimpanzees and other species, and also of humankind and the environments we all share.

She inspired curiosity, hope, and compassion in countless people, and paved the way for many others.
