A yarn loving midwesterner learning to knit one stitch at a time.
I am loving this project page from my Thread and Maple binder. It fits everything I need for my latest WIP and snaps back into my binder when not in use. Beautiful AND practical. Doesn’t get much better than that! 🧶

I finally see why there is so much hype around the #ranunculussweater The yoke has been so fun to knit with all the different stitch patterns. This is in a DK weight but I could easily see a summer one in a lighter yarn! 🧶

Spent some time last month reorganizing my craft room and found so many cute tote/project bags hiding in the closet. I found this rotating coat rack on Amazon and it fits perfectly in the corner of the room. Several bags were gifts and it makes me so happy to see them out!

One of my 2025 goals is to track yarn in and out. Last year I bought WAY more than I used and I want to work through some of that beautiful yarn. More out than in is a good start!

First garment of the year is done! This one was quite a journey! It’s the first time I attempted sweater surgery and the results were mixed. The front looks fine, but it’s more obvious in the back where my tension isn’t the same. But I do love the boat neck and the shoulder ribbing. 🧶

Love the look of the Eye of Partridge heel. It fits perfectly with the delicate pattern of this sock. 🧶

Time to gauge swatch for my next project. I’ve had this beautiful green yarn too long. I always gauge swatch (skipped that step in the past and learned my lesson!) This is my first time using the Quick Gauge from Twice Sheered Sheep. Anything that makes gauge swatching more enjoyable is a win! 🧶

The next chapter in my ongoing sweater saga. I kitchnered the sweater back together. Keeping my tension consistent and matching the rest of the sweater was tough and the seam is pretty obvious. I haven’t given up hope yet. I’m going to wet block it and see how it goes. To be continued…🧶

I made a mistake while knitting my sweater. I couldn’t figure out how to fix it and couldn’t live with it. It’s a great opportunity to try sweater surgery. Picking up the stitches took longer than I thought, but the sweater came apart easily. Now to knit more and Kitchener it back together 😬
