Facebook are no longer just quietly manipulating the algorithm to dictate what we can and cannot see from the pages we actually follow.

Now they’re pumping horrible crap directly into our feeds, even though we don't follow those pages, and nobody recommended those posts to us via the share button.
Why is Facebook dumping so much unwanted crap in my feed?
After a prolonged break from scrolling my Facebook feed I returned to find it full of dreadful unwanted crap from pages I never followed, and that nobody I follow even recommended to me.
