I have lots of thoughts about football, and I leave them here
Did the Steelers have too many and too few on the field on the same play? Football is always innovating.

Packers get Jack Sawyer, I call dibs

Feels like there's a primetime game at SoFi about every other week. This game would get a non-zero amount more interest out of me if it were in Denver for reasons I can't quite articulate #TNF

Can Replay Assist not doing anything about that Unnecessary Roughness penalty in Panthers Cowboys? Very obviously a clean hit upon review, bit since the flag went up, it's too late? The inconsistency is frustrating

"I could do better than this pro athlete did" is a stupid, tired take but this is the exceedingly rare instance that it might be true.
the hand up for eternity. the fall. I'm dying.

A fun little what-if from recent NFL history. What are the Panthers looking like right now if Aaron Rodgers is under center? Who would the Bears have traded that #1 pick too? Does Stroud still end up in Houston? Possibilities abound...

So the plan for the Vikings is to have Jones as McCarthy's backup next year, right?

My favorite part of only kinda-sorta keeping an eye on College Football is that seeing the national rankings is a fresh adventue each week. SMU is #9? That's fun! Boise State projected to get a BYE? Neat! Arizona is competetive and in the Big 12? Cool!

With that last run, Saquon has 302 yards from scrimmage tonight, good enough for the 10th most in a single game all-time.

The price Quay Walker paid for that pick-six against Chicago last year is that every potential future pick will bounce off his hands.

Man, they're really letting 'em play in Bears-Vikings today. Pretty clear interference in the endzone on Bynum goes uncalled, and a pair of out of bounds hits in the first half went by without flags too.

So they can't use the boundary camera on that review because *other* stadiums don't have that view? Seems a little stupid to me, tbh

A nighttime game in the snow between AFC North teams has got to be one of the most aesthetically pleasing combinations of NFL games. As for the game itself...

An absolutely mind-bending stat about the Titans special teams via @brettkollmann.bsky.social on @minakimes.bsky.social pod today: 66% of the Titans punts are returned, and the *average* punt return against them is over 17 yards. Hard to even comprehend that level of special teams incompetencecy

Last night's game brought back to the spotlight something many don't realize: Texans fans travel really well. Ive been to a lot of games at Lambeau, and seen games against all the other NFCN teams, but Houston had by far the biggest away contingent I've ever seen in person in Green Bay

The Patriots just feel like a team thats gonna win a game they shouldn't real late in the season that'll have a huge ripple effect on seeding / Wild Card stuff

Sooo. Bo Nix OROY?

Alright, I'll be the one to say it. I don't think the Bears offensive line is as responsible for Caleb Williams performance as many seem to want to think it is.

If it feels like Malik Nabers is just *always* open, it's because he is. He leads all receivers in ESPN's OPEN score with a 99. Nobody else is within 10 points.
