RAISE YOUR VOICE:
Now is the time to pledge your support for banning octopus farming. Octopus farming would be an ethical and environmental disaster, but with enough public support, we can protect octopuses from a lifetime of suffering:

Caving on a deal that doesn’t fix health care is, and always has been, a giant betrayal of the American people.

Hold the line. Save health care. I’m a NO on anything that doesn’t extend ACA subsidies.

The Governor of Oregon @tinakotek.bsky.social decrying the shooting of Charlie Kirk.
No mention of the three Evergreen High School students shot in Colorado on the same day.
My thoughts are with them.
The attack on Charlie Kirk is inexcusable. Violence has absolutely no place in our democracy. America is better than this.

It should not be so lonely, nearly a decade after MeToo, to say that sexual violence is morally significant, that women’s dignity is worth defending. And it should not be so common to see people act as if treating women as disposable instruments for gratification is a privilege of men’s status.

Think anglerfish are weird? Wait until you hear how they evolved : Short Wave
There are over 200 species of deep-sea anglerfish; some are long and thin, some are squat and round, some have fins that they use to "walk" along the sea floor, and others have huge eyes set far back into their heads. But how did all this morphological diversity first come to be? Thanks to a new anglerfish family tree, now we know. Scientists built this evolutionary tree using genetic information from hundreds of samples and anglerfish specimens across the globe. It indicates that anglerfish originated from an ancestor that crawled along the seafloor ... and sheds new light on how experts could think about biodiversity as a whole.
