I can explain to my neighbors why some Dem Senators voted for cloture to end the shutdown. I can't explain holding out indefinitely for 13 GOP Senators to defy Trump and join Democrats to vote for cloture on CR which extended the Biden ACA tax credits.

Turns out the "Do Something Democrats" people thought that the plan was to put out a Dem CR which extended the Biden ACA tax credits and then wait indefinitely for 13 GOP Senators to defy Trump and vote for cloture for the Dem CR. For them anything less than holding out for cloture was caving.

That was the strategy. That was the message. Did you really think that 13 GOP Senators were going to defy Trump and vote for cloture for a Dem CR which extended the Biden ACA tax credits or subsidies or anything that made healthcare more affordable? Is that what you were waiting on?

I think it is incredibly clear that there is a rearguard vanguard of extremely socially conservative people who are desperate to convince everyone that they want to do what they were genetically born/predisposed to do,barbaric/outdated social norms

Did anyone tell Tina Fey and Jimmy Fallon that that the Clifton Heights Democrats flipped their town from red to blue yesterday? Democrats won 3 out of 4 open Borough Council seats and the mayor's office.
