things you won't hear much in the immigration debate: it's already fallen (see Sunder's thread) + OBR assumes net immigration 350,000ish for its forecasts so we should be discussing 'why the economy needs this many people, who should they be, & if you want fewer what does that do to growth'
Net migration is currently about half the most recent headline number.
It was net 730k for year to June 2024. (The year to the election). Since then immigration is down by 400k (in published visa data)

The Internet Archive backing up Web pages and digitising public domain material is great. Inventing their own digital lending library and rules, offering current, copyright work to anyone for free without writers' consent or payment like legitimate libraries is not. That's what landed them in court.
