"You’ve got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know… morons."
IMHO
Thanksgiving dinner is fckng delicious.
A well-cooked turkey is so flavorful. Suck it, chicken, I'll take turkey every day of the week.
Stuffing, simpler the better.
Garlic mashed potatoes
Gravy however you want to make it, as long as it's thick.
Cranberry relish (not jelly, please).
Best meal.

How many times do you see it? Guy makes a great play in the field, comes up and gets a big hit!

Answer: Almost never

But the ball *ALWAYS* finds the guy who just entered the game / is playing out of position.

Reconnecting with a long-lost father through baseball is much more than Hollywood script material for Oregon native Elizabeth Riley.

How a daughter reclaimed her father's U.S. Army baseball legacy among forgotten fields on a French military base:

Pretty sure she could afford Obamacare.
Venus Williams just won her first match in two years and at the end when they were interviewing her about what a miracle it was, she said she had to come back and play a match; they told her she was on cobra and she’s always at the doctor so **she needs the health insurance**

Hi Alex, I admit this question is for fantasy baseball purposes but do you have any insight into why Tony Blanco, Jr is on the 60 day IL?
I hope it's not a bad injury, but also understand that he and his family have suffered a terrible tragedy.

@bobbyblanco.bsky.social "Crews basically scored the first run in the second on his hustle alone. With two outs, he singled to left off Kodai Senga to extend his hitting streak to nine games. He then caught Nimmo not paying attention and sprinted to second and came around to score on Tena's single."

@bobbyblanco.bsky.social Hi Bobby, I enjoyed your article recapping the Nats win over the Mets. Do you happen to have any insight into why Crews' hustle double was changed to a single? There was no error charged to Nimmo, so how in the scorebook does MLB account for the extra base?

Hi Britt!
Hey, I loved Dylan Crews' hustle double tonight...but, why in the box score is he not credited with a double? Any insight? The Mets have no errors, so it doesn't appear to have been ruled a single and an error on the odd judgement to throw to third. Thanks!

This is the first episode of a 3-part scripted series for @ewpod.bsky.social that I've been working on for more than a year. It's about mysterious trailblazer Ella Black, the first woman to write about baseball for a national publication. Hope it makes you half as consumed by her story as I've been!
