Oh cool. New one for me. So at its simplest for a pitcher - lower air percentage, lower chance of giving up homers?
For the dummies - "air pull" meaning pull percentage on fly balls, aka a bad thing with the Monster? Haven't seen that term before.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is set to unveil major changes to how the US military buys weapons and vehicles. Here's what you need to know ahead of his speech to industry this afternoon. https://ow.ly/HAg350XosoM
Right on. One of those things I always read and go "how the heck does he even know who this guy is..." to. Thanks.
A question I've been meaning to ask: how do you keep track of all the MA-born guys spread throughout the minors? Always seem to have one at hand to throw out there.

A 34-year-old as a politician: My god he's like a baby. It's like they just elected an infant to be their mayor.

A 34-year-old as an athlete: You have to admire the bravery of him attempting that dunk, knowing full well the grim reaper is right behind him.
You're probably right and I'm probably overthinking. I do think if we see something out of whack with that, it's a real big red warning sign that the owners think they might actually get a cap this time.
Evergreen tweet.
a shocking amount of "I was wrong. Here's why that makes me right" commentary today
Biggest question mark to me, which no one can really predict with these, is the lockout effect. Will teams try to do a bunch of one year large AAV deals? Will players prioritize more years over money because of lockout fears? Will every contract have a 2028 opt out?

Don't underestimate the chance to do stand-off strikes from planes that are way safely away from whatever basic air defenses they have. If Navy is involved USAF will want in to.
(I know Deadpool is very much An Annoying Thing now but that original Kelly run was an astounding blend of humor and genuine, very human emotions. Some of the funniest bits I've ever read in comics, some truly horrifying and moving stuff as well.)
This is a very deep cut but: If its on Marvel Unlimited, go check out Deadpool Vol. 1 (the original Joe Kelly series) issue 20, which is an all-time Batroc comic.

Memories: After Finmeccanica rebranded as Leonardo, they had a giant Vitruvian Man on the side of their building at Farnborough. Except the way it was printed, his manhood was eye level with attendees right as they walked in.

Next day someone had moved a bunch of plants to cover it.
Sometimes a reporter has a moment arrive that is so squarely in their wheelhouse they have to swing. And Geoff, unsurprisingly, doesn't miss.
A House of Dynamite is a gripping nuclear thriller... that makes no sense?

Here, finally, is my piece about what experts have to say about the movie (short 🧵 and then I'll do another 🧵 on what I think about it)....

Here's what experts say 'A House of Dynamite' gets wrong (and right) about nuclear war
Some praised realistic elements like the depiction of the White House situation room. But others said parts of the plot didn't ring true.
