I'm also working through a huge laundry list of other writing projects since I'm going on hiatus until January on my YouTube channel.
Including some system agnostic ttRPG booklets.
...Maybe I'm spreading myself too thin.

Earlier this year I started writing a manuscript for a ttRPG book about running a coffee house. Then added in a trading post/item shop, as well as a frontier homestead.
...But recently I realized I couldn't come up with a good "elevator pitch" for it. So I'm rethinking that project entirely.

Recent realization:
If you want to remove the swinginess of a single d20, you need to use more dice.
3d6 gives you a similar range with more distribution around 10~11.
If you still want ~5% Critical Success or Failure: any time two 6s or two 1s show up, regardless of what the third die is.

Glad to have my major commitments done this year.
Going through my notes.
Found a lot of ttRPG sub systems I wanted to make, but only had ideas for.
Some of the details are coming back to me, past that phase of "what the fuck did I mean when I wrote this?"

Conversation I had in Deep Rock Galactic:
Dwarf 1: Are we gonna fight this [Dreadnought?]
Dwarf 2: Well, we can try reasoning with it.
Dwarf 3: I don't speak Glyphid, unfortunately.
Dwarf 4: You need to drink more Slammers, then.

I've said it once and I'll say it again: People who think that character death is the only interesting consequence in TTRPGs are boring people.
"Oh I can't create tension if the game doesn't allow for me to kill a PC."
Really? You can't? Or are you just bad at GMing?

Finally finished this fantastic labor of love I began earlier in the year.
The content is pretty sparse and surface level. Though I do think I outdid myself with the VFX and acceptably with the audio mixing.
That said...you ever wanted Final Fantasy in your ttRPG? Look at some of these!

I dread any sort of video editing, truth be told. But I'm almost sad now that I'm nearly done with Fanmade Final Fantasy ttRPGs Disc 2.
On the other hand? I didn't expect to find so much when making disc 2. There'll be enough new material for third, I'm sure.
(I brought my A-Game to this one.)
