Mission: Impossible is pure popcorn cinema. Watching Rogue Nation on the big screen for the first time was a blast. Can't wait for a Predator: Badlands / M:I - Fallout double-feature tomorrow.

On behalf of furry family members everywhere: fuck fireworks.

At one point I watched a crisp packet blow across the pitch for at least 30 seconds. Sums up this evening perfectly.

POTM for me; no one got near him. 🙃

Bugonia: Take Two 🍿

A crazy, cool, unhinged, intriguingly entertaining watch. Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons, in particular, deliver brilliant performances. 🐝

Screening 131 and 132 of 2025.

Classic heritage meets modern design.

Inspired by Wilson Fisk.

It's honestly criminal that we didn't offer Liam Gilbert a full-time role as #OUWFC manager.

If ever there was a time...

Although it won't be a new record attendance for Cherries, currently 7,076, it is set to be the largest crowd #OUWFC have ever played in front of, and it is still growing. 👏

A big game in stature and importance for both clubs.

No internet for a while, so revisited some of the classics, starting with Porridge; Ronnie Barker was an incredibly funny man.

Absolutely love this; such a talented player who was always destined for big things.

G'wan Georgia! #OUWFC 👏

Avatar: The Way of Water looked stunning in 3D. An incredible use of the technology. 😎

Our association with Chaokoh has always bothered me due to the company's history of animal abuse.

Disappointed to see that it will continue.

Exhibit number 9,257.

I'm choosing to be buoyed by the fantastic result against Bristol City rather than feeling too downtrodden by the abysmal Real Bedford result.

Oxford United. 🙃

Only the second Championship match at home this season, and it hasn't sold out.

I think the club (as did I) has almost taken it for granted that we'll continue to sell out every match. The difference is, I'm not responsible for filling the stadium. Marketing has been poor.

Still, I'm surprised. 😯

100th screening of 2025 and the first-ever in 3D.

3D was an interesting experience: my stomach dropped during the opening attack - presumably as my brain adjusted - but was fine afterwards. It also took me a few minutes to 'recalibrate' after the movie had ended. Fad? Yes. But not terrible.

150? 👀

We now return to our regularly scheduled programming.

Collected the movie tickets for 94 of the screenings I've watched this year at Cineworld, only for the bloody ticketing machine in the foyer to stop working six short of my 2025 target.

Logan died for nothing. 🤪

White on a light-coloured shirt doesn't really work, which makes the decision to outline the Macron logo and nothing else an odd one. It's like someone's gone, "I'll do the rest later..." and then never bothered. Looks confused from a design perspective IMO.

I have absolutely no idea how some folks can support more than one sports club; Oxford United is more than enough for me. Often too much. 😅

It's still only August, and it already feels like it's going to be a tale of two seasons for Oxford United, with OUFC doing their best fartleberry impression in hopes of retaining our Championship status, while OUWFC challenge for the title.
