Grant that we may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen. 🕯️

Prayer of St Francis

Lord, make us instruments of your peace. Where there is hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy.

Officially an oblate with The Benedictine Way!! It may seem like a small step but I’ve been reflecting on what a journey it’s been just to get here. Now the journey continues… Pray for me 🕯️⚓️

After reverently preparing the chalice and altar for all God’s beloved children to sup from tomorrow, I went to Costco on a Saturday and I’m back to my baseline levels of disgust and annoyance with humanity. #altarguild #ewpeople #thatwasclose ⚓️

Let not the needy, Oh Lord, be forgotten… 🕯️
This is horrifying for people who are homeless and/or suffering with mental illness and/or addiction.

As the brother of an opioid addict & son of an alcoholic who have both been in and out of homelessness, Ive seen first hand how harm reduction is a better policy than what this admin advocates. ⚓️

My pet project to very very slowly Lectio the psalms really helps the office land. Usually my mind wanders during the repetitive text ( yes yes, you are a worm, David. God still loves you) but when my inner ear perks up “hey, I know that one!” I tend glean much more from it in real time. ⚓️

I didn’t make it to building church because I was in wilderness church this morning, but I do need prayers. Have to break some hard news to a loved one today, as well as start from scratch on a family matter. Please and thank you ⚓️🥺

I am really appreciating these Stations of the Resurrection. I get a better sense of the incredulous joy the disciples must have felt 🕯️
Easter is a season of hope, and I’m offering fourteen #stationsoftheresurrection

Passing on wisdom I’ve heard and learned regarding Daily Offices: most of the long forms are meant to be prepared ahead of time and prayed corporately. Vowed monastics tend to do this work because their lives are patterned around the office. For us living in the world, prayer may look different

Looking at a “Mom Camp” retreat via #tec and it highlights “disco balls, bell bottoms, and groovy activities.”

Ma’am, I am Gen X with 2 kids. We’re going to need black lights, overalls, and time to ourselves.

Those cybertrucks are ugly anyway.
We are calling for a nationwide and international boycott of all Elon Musk-related products and services. Sell your Tesla shares, avoid buying Tesla vehicles, cancel Starlink, and delete your X accounts.

In its simplest terms, the apparent demise of #USAID is the result of the world's richest man ending a program that helps millions of poor people. You don't need a Ph.D. in moral theology to see why this is an evil. You can just read Jesus's parables on the rich and the poor.
