Did you know that Illinois has an extremist pro-Israel law on the books? In 2015 Republican Governor Bruce Rauner signed a bill that would make it illegal for Springfield to invest pension funds in any company that refuses to do business in Israel for any reason, even for humanitarian ones.

Today @sanders.senate.gov is introducing resolution to block arms transfers to Israel. Senate Joint Resolution 34 and 41 would prevent the sale of guns, bombs, and support systems that have let the Israeli government dispossess, disenfranchise, and kill Palestinians in the West Bank and in Gaza.
The time is long overdue for Congress to stop funding Israel’s illegal and horrific war against the Palestinian people.

The U.S. must not support a government which is starving children.

Tomorrow, I will force votes in the Senate to block the sale of weapons to Netanyahu.

If you live in Edgewater sign the petition to support the Broadway rezoning for more housing and affordability in our neighborhood!

Opponents were outnumbered 2-1 during Plan Commission but are trying to intimidate their way to blocking housing for our neighbors.

Donald Trump wants a military parade? In this city he’ll have a protest instead.

This Saturday organizations like @indivisiblechicago.bsky.social will be rallying downtown from 12-2 to oppose this racist, criminal administration. We encourage all of our members, neighbors, and friends to attend.

"On Michigan Avenue on Wednesday, after ICE officials got into shiny black SUVs and trucks and drove away, Gerardo Perez, 23, stood outside the office with his family. His mother was taken, he said. They live in Rogers Park, and he has six siblings. She had been here for close to 40 years."

We are disgusted to hear that our neighbors in Missouri will have their access to abortion care blocked for the foreseeable future. Not only has their State Supreme Court overturned the will of their voters, this will put more strain on services in Illinois. www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/abo...

With a little more than one week left to go before the fundathon ends, we have crushed our original goal and raised $3,386 for the Chicago Abortion Fund! We are so grateful for all the support our members, neighbors, and friends have shown for abortion care access.

The City of Chicago is considering upzoning Broadway, and we encourage everyone to call their representative on city council to support it. Our neighbors deserve safer streets, responsible development, and more affordable housing, regardless of which side of the street they’re on.
