Btw if you’re posting the Davis essay but all you got on the fires is “this is climate change,” you didn’t read it. It’s not just global warming, it’s overdevelopment and faulty management strategies. It’s settler-colonialism’s mystification of the region’s ecology.

Think one should be suspicious of arguments that substitute taxonomy for critique. Stuff like "people I disagree w/ are concerned w/ Being, while my correct position is based on Becoming," or "everything bad is Platonism, everything good is Aristotelian"

All of the "Marxist" criticisms of the Luigi phenomenon suck. Recognizing that folk hero vigilantism reflects the absence of a viable mass politics doesn't require that one "condemn" the former. Just accept your own impotence and move on.
