A day of huge protests and a general strike against the war and for the hostage deal in Israel started across the country this morning. I started the day on 7:10 AM in front of Minister Amichai Shikli's home. The Rabbi is singing "a deceitful war... a deceitful war"

Just before the holiday I had the privilege of chairing a special session at the annual conference of the Israel Communication Association celebrating 30 years to Haifa's comm department. Thank you so much Aya, Neta, Nathan and Tsahi. Such a pleasure to talk to you about our academic home.

University faculty across the country protested today against governmental legislation initiatives to hurt academic freedom and students' free speech. I don't know how effective these protests are, but at least my colleagues could enjoy me shutting up for a while 😀
