Ahh love the "we have a gas shortage" stories.

Nope, foreign gas companies just prefer to sell Australia's gas overseas for more profit.

(they also pay bugger all tax, and barely any royalties)

Chart showing that in 2022-23 4,976PJ of gas was either exported as LNG or used to convert gas to LNG. Meanwhile the projected shortage of gas in the 2030s is around 300PJ.
