Meet our editorial board member, Abdul-Akeem Sadiq.

He is a professor in the School of Public Administration at the University of Central Florida. He earned his joint Ph.D. in Public Policy from Georgia State University and the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2009.

Her research explores public management and policy, with an emphasis on government contracting, collaborative governance, innovation, and sustainability.

Through her teaching, research, and service, Ana strives to support the development of current and future public servants.

Meet our Assistant Student Editor, Rosland Széchenyi

Rosland Széchenyi is a Human Services scholar focused on generational equity, nonprofit innovation, and public sector engagement. 🧵

Through his teaching, research, and professional service, Dr. Lim remains dedicated to advancing the field of public affairs education.

Prior to entering academia, he served in the South Korean Air Force as a Master Sergeant. This experience deeply shaped his understanding of public service values and commitment.

He earned both his Ph.D. and M.P.A. in Public Administration from Florida State University and holds a B.A. in Public Administration from Soongsil University in Seoul, South Korea. Originally from South Korea, Dr. Lim moved to the United States in 2012 to pursue his academic career.

Dr. Sungdae Lim is an Associate Professor of Public Administration at Sam Houston State University. His research focuses on public and nonprofit management,

We’re proud to have Dr. Young leading JPAE’s editorial vision, bridging research, teaching, and practice with kindness and compassion to advance public affairs education.

Dr. Young’s 2021 JPAE article, “Erased: Why Faculty Sexual Misconduct Is Prevalent and How We Could Prevent It,” catalyzed national conversations on academic integrity and institutional reform.

Dr. Young also co-founded the column "Humans of Nonprofits" at Nonprofit Quarterly and regularly contributes insights to national and international news outlets.

She has published widely in top journals, including Public Administration, Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly, and Nonprofit Management & Leadership, co-authored three Routledge books, and accrued over $2 million in funded grants.

Her research examines how nonprofit and public systems advance equity and resilience in health and human service delivery, especially during crises.
