Have baffled the Risams by telling them exactly what was wrong with their water heater before even going to the basement to look at it, then stopping the leak while we wait for the replacement. Little do they know that I am the handy one in my house.👩🏽‍🔧🪠👷🏽‍♀️🔨

This is brilliant

This is amazing. I definitely had to not say anything about the pink turkey and eat around it 😂

😍

Dinner doesn’t look like this without me in the kitchen but so long as no one gets food poisoning, everything will be fine. And if there is food poisoning, I am not responsible. (Photo from last Christmas.)

If you let go of dinner, you have to just accept that there are some questionable things happening in the kitchen.

In personal growth, I punted on Christmas dinner for the first time in 25 years, let everyone else make it, took a nap, and watched the Imagine Dragons concert on Hulu, and it was DELIGHTFUL 🎄🎅🏽

We went in February and it was wonderful - I hope you can go!

I did! I wanted to do something for them with my book advance and they are not really things people.

My parents did a very credible job of being enthusiastic about a random Turks & Caicos mug before realizing there was an itinerary inside. And then they were verklempt for a solid minute while processing. 😍🎄🎅🏽

I am the baby by 9 years!

My sister gave me the funniest Christmas card 😆

An important distinction from the person currently wearing her Grinch Santa hat.

Glad you have a chance to breathe. My dad has had TIAs too and it’s very scary. Sending lots of good thoughts your way.

Merry, merry, merry, dear friends!

Oh my goodness - I am so glad to hear that your dad was able to receive treatment quickly 💕

So true… the “you can’t do that for the next four years” 😅☹️

Kumail Nanjiani’s Night Thoughts standup special on Hulu has been the great uniter of Risams.

😍

Listen, [name redacted]’s parents went to JAPAN to get her a Cabbage Patch Kid.

If only the Myrns had sprung for Boba Fett. The world could have been a better place 😂

Omg this is amazing 😍😍😍😍

He really didn’t have a chance, did he.

That is so sweet 🥹

This could easily be fixed

Omg!!! Desi parents!!!

For me, it was a Cabbage Patch Kid. For @cgsaw.bsky.social it was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Technodrome. Tell us, Gen Xers and Geriatric Millennials, what Christmas present did you never receive that you clearly aren’t still fixated on 30-40 years later?

I wish I had an auntie like that!

I think they were impossible to find and also baby dolls were not encouraged in my fam.
