Trump Escalates Pressure on Venezuela, but Endgame Is Unclear -- Headline in today's NY Times.

It's clear to me: Trump gins up a phony war in Venezuela so he will be "a war president" for the 2026 midterms and 2028. "You can't hamstring a war president in the middle of a war!!!" he'll whine.

In a 1943 psychological profile, Dr. Henry Murray described Hitler's personality characteristics as including:

Grudges and low tolerance for criticism.

An excessive need for attention and a tendency to blame others.

A desire for revenge and persistence in the face of defeat.

Sound familiar?

Current way to express astonishment: Holy shit!

Former ways: Gee whiz! Jeepers creepers! Gee whillikers!

Take-away: Fewer but more disgusting words. All the "gee" sounds were substitutes for "Jesus." Now we go straight to the feces.

Rev. Lori Walke, minister of a Southern Baptist church camp, says that the obsession with girls' purity was overwhelming. "The rules around girls' clothing were obsessed over." If girls’ purity and clothing are obsessed over, the people doing the obsessing are way too interested in those things.

Well finally! The lid is coming off the garbage can and everything the MAGA right and Trump have blamed on the Democrats turns out to be the crimes of MAGA and Trump.
Remember Pizza Gate when Hillary was supposed to be running an underage sex trafficking ring? The Biden "crime family?" Etc.?

Can we please now stop pretending Trump is not a rapist and child molester? What awaits him in prison will be justice administered by the criminally insane.

Democrats have released emails in which Epstein allegedly told Ghislaine Maxwell that Trump “spent hours” at his house with one of Epstein’s victims. The White House labeled the documents a “hoax” to distract from Trump's “historic accomplishments.”

Like gutting and gilding the White House?

Saw a Bumper Sticker on a truck today that said:

REPUBLICAN
I'm workin' like crazy to support the lazy.

That's the spirit! Fuck the poor and call them lazy if they ask for help. And deny them help. In fact, raise their taxes.

Pope Leo XIV is lit. In a talk about those who demand order--meaning enforced orthodoxy--he said, "Order without spirit is death wearing a crown."

"The strategy (to get the Democrats to cave so the Republicans could gut the Affordable Care Act), White House officials said, was to wait out the Democrats, ramp up the pain and then watch as they eventually caved." --NY Times

It worked. "Ramping up the pain" is what fascists do to get their way.

And by the way, if those eight rogue Democrats believe that the promise Republicans made to "take a vote" on restoring healthcare benefits to ACA participants, let me predict they'll renege on the promise, or, if they don't, will vote NO. They've been trying to kill Obamacare for years.

This time the Democrats didn't shoot themselves in the foot, they shot themselves in the balls.

The handful of Democrats who decided to give the Republicans what they wanted in order to re-open the government just threw 20 million Americans into a health-care pit where they'll have to choose between medical care and feeding their families. I say primary them all.

I'm in the checkout line at the market and a young teen is bagging my goods. To give him a boost, I say, "Did you know that David Letterman got his start by bagging groceries at his local market?" The kid looks at me with a blank stare and says, "Who's David Letterman?"

First Trump turns away and stares at the wall when a guy in the Oval faints. Then he sits down during a discussion and falls asleep. When he wakes up, he says Democrats have coined a new word: "affordability." Maybe next he'll put a Bouncy House in the rose garden to hold Cabinet meetings.

Trump's cognitive impairment is so exquisite he should be given his own children's show opening Bandaids and sticking them on funny places on his body.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has fired or sidelined at least 24 generals and admirals over the past nine months. His actions are without precedent or explanation. --NY Times today.

I know why. Trump wants compliant top brass that will back his plans to sic the military on American protestors.

New York's Jews like their Irish Catholic cops, eat at their Chinese restaurants, support their Russian neighborhoods in Brooklyn, even wave hi at their millionaires on the Upper East Side. So why wouldn't they vote for a Democratic Socialist Muslim who's promising free bus rides?

"'TRUMP WASN’T ON THE BALLOT, AND SHUTDOWN, WERE THE TWO REASONS THAT REPUBLICANS LOST ELECTIONS TONIGHT,’ according to Pollsters,” Trump posted.

The third and biggest reason was that Trump WAS on the ballot, even if his name didn't appear on it.

Chris Hayes writes about Spanberger's huge win in Virginia: "The weirdest, most unnerving thing is how little the Republican Party seems to care about this."

My guess is that Republicans have big plans to cheat and abuse the American system of government to guarantee themselves a win in 2028.

“We are seeing a coordinated attack to suppress Election Day voting,” conservative podcaster Jack Prosobiec wrote on X today.

Hey Jack--nobody's buying your right-wing lies anymore. The people spoke today, and they said, "Get these fascist stooges the hell out of our politics."

Some are saying that the 7th game of the Jays-Dodgers' Series was the best game ever played, I would agree it's great--but not the greatest. The greatest was the 6th game of the Boston Red Sox and Cincinnati Reds' World Series in 1975. If you love baseball, find a full broadcast and watch it.

I hope someone is keeping ID on the ICE agents who are roaming around our cities, beating up and threatening citizens, legal immigrants, and law-abiding illegal immigrants. They are all criminals for following unconstitutional and illegal orders from the criminal-in-chief.

The Justice Department told Congress this week that President Trump could lawfully continue his lethal strikes on boats at sea, notwithstanding a law limiting unauthorized “hostilities.” So why not on cars carrying Democrats? Or Alfa Romeos driven by liberals? Or Antifas driving Ubers? Just asking.
