Politicians are retreating from net zero because they think the public doesn’t care. But they’re wrong, says @bankfieldbecky.bsky.social

In the space of a few years, official projections of Norway's land carbon uptake have changed by a factor of two.

What is driving the uncertainty & how can the land sink be managed with this uncertainty?

This week is the start of a new adventure as I join NILU's Atmosphere and Climate division.

I am excited for this new opportunity and grateful to be continuing my work on combatting climate change.
I am happy that I get to continue to work with my great team at NTNU in an adjunct position.

Jeg også!

Agree! It’s a full time job just reading emails

We are meeting at Arctic Frontiers 2025 for a challenging debate on climate interventions. I am looking forward to be delivering the keynote speech.

What could the consequences of such methods be? And who decides what, when, where, how much? I am sure that the panel will have plenty to dig into

#DYK that we currently have a working group focusing on reliable monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) approaches for marine carbon dioxide removal (mCDR) approaches, aiming to published recommendations later this year. Find out more here: www.marineboard.eu/marine-carbo... #CO2
