I honestly think that the thing I love most about "Smiling Friends" is how often it demonstrates that a change in animation techniques for a character or a scene or whatever can in and of itself be the best gag you can conceive - and proving you don't necessarily have to be in the know to 'get it'.

i think the biggest misconception of this show was that people blamed mindy kaling for it existing when mostly all she did was voice act the titular character. the show was created by a former SNL writer charlie grandy, a white guy, so it kinda explains why the humor is so... ass
