Normally only posting on academic things here, but as a small exception: Glad to announce that I’ll be working on Swiss-EU negotiations from March onwards, while continuing my work on public international law at the same time. Interesting times ahead!

Looking forward to giving a talk on 14 February at the Liechtenstein Institute on European Economic Area Docking and Swiss EU relations. Join us if you can! Many thanks to Georges Baur for the kind invitation.

Finally finding some time to get some writing done after a few hectic months. This piece on European Economic Area “Docking” in Swiss-EU relations will be forthcoming in 2024’s Swiss Yearbook of European Law (if I manage to pick a title, that is).

New blog post out on #EUSwissrelations on efta-studies.org Clash of the Titans or Tempest in a Teapot? Conflicts between Swiss-EU Bilateral Agreements. With many thanks to Georges Baur, Christian Frommelt and the Liechtenstein Institut.

Looking forward to presenting Izabela Skoczeń's and my current experimental linguistic research on the 2021 international law #ecocide definition proposal on 26 October in Porto (unfortunately only remotely). Perhaps see you there?

2) A compendium of the strangest rules/customs accepted in German language legal academia totally unheard of elsewhere.
